14 - 19 in Bradford

Education 14-19 in Bradford and district is organised on a collaborative, confederation basis; Strategy is determined by an Executive Group. Membership of the Executive comprises of the chairs of each of the three local confederations, colleges, the chair of Bradford Secondary Heads group, three further education colleges, Careers Bradford, West Yorkshire Learning Partnership (WYLP), Bradford University, Education Bradford, Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS).

The strategic vision for education in Bradford and district is encapsulated in ‘Promoting Bradford Futures’. The principles and practice of Promoting Bradford Futures are embedded in all the CLE’s courses, programmes and support.  We have distributed a Powerpoint presentation of the images and messages enshrined within the document on CD to every secondary school and college in the Bradford confederation for them to promote the confederation’s collaboration and work.  The document and subsequent updates is available at http://www.promotingbradfordfutures.org.uk/

Bradford Confederations are comprised of 3 geographically-based clusters of schools with partners from other learning and support organisations. Each confederation includes link FE college and private Work-based Learning Provider. Meetings are also attended by staff from a range of other partner organistions.
