Preparing for the New Diplomas: Applied Learning

Aims and Objectives:

- To consider what applied learning means in practical terms for diploma delivery starting in 2009.
- To consider strategies for applied learning outside a specialist room / workshop environment.
- To consider optimum employer involvement to support applied learning.
- To consider strategies to develop independence in applied learning sessions.
- To identify opportunities to embed Functional Skills into applied learning sessions.

Of Interest To:

- Bradford Diploma practitioners and partners who are commencing delivery in September 2009
- Functional Skills in Diplomas practitioners

Cost:

£20.00: Diploma development teams and Bradford Confederation organisations
£45:00: Non-confederation organisations

Further Information:

- The small print: a £50 fee for late cancellation or non-attendance will apply. NB Bradford Diploma practitioners may approach their Diploma Lead for funding.
- This session is set within the context of "Promoting Bradford Futures".
- The Centre for Learning Excellence is a Task Group of the Bradford Confederations Executive.
