Innovation Network

This established network, requested by senior curriculum leaders, will continue to focus on sharing developments, innovative curriculum design and creative approaches to providing 14-19 learners with a rich vocational curriculum. The first meetings this academic year take place in October 2006. Best practice downloads on Curriculum Innovation are available in the members' area

The CLE continues to support networks for Leaders and Managers, and has responded to requests for new networks which reflect current curriculum developments.
Functional Skills Network
This network has been requested by managers attending the Curriculum Innovation Network. This group will focus upon strategic issues relating to changes in the status and delivery of Functional Skills. Of particular interest will be the potential for learners to achieve success in applied settings and the way in which an organisation may provide opportunities. For further information regarding previous meetings and other networks, please access the Members Area (you will need to register as a member first).

Functional Skills for Diplomas
The purpose of this event is to hear what the awarding bodies are offering by way of support for development of functional skills specifically in diplomas. Preference wil be given to Bradford Diploma Consortia and existing Functional Skills network members. |

Managing CPD in Educational Settings

This network has been established to support CPD and Staff Development Managers in auditing staff skills and development needs, focusing on identifying the needs of all staff within organisations and managing the provision of development activities. This group is currently developing a framework to support the auditing of staff skills and needs. It will enable managers to identifiy specific areas of individual practice that need support accross their organisation and to manage individual training they receive, rather than using a 'One Size Fits All' approach.
