Learning and Teaching - Positive Behaviour Management

Bill Positive Behaviour Management training has been developed by practitioners from across all learning organisations, and there is a real focus on the implications of vocational settings and youngsters learning within different organisations.

This programme is an ideal example of a possible accreditation opportunity for staff building a personal portfolio of professional development.

Accentuate the Positive

This programme aims to provide delegates with the strategies which are based upon successful Positive Behavour Management. It will introduce and clarify the roles and responsibilities of all staff in schools, colleges and work-based learning settings when working with 14-19 learners.

Delegates will explore:
- strategies to manage behaviour positively in formal and informal settings
- how to use and modify their own language to gain compliance

This will be a very practical session in which delegates will be able to discuss issues in a non-judgemental, supportive environment.

Strategies for When it goes 'Pear-Shaped'!

This programme aims to offer tips and strategies for de-escalating aggression and confrontation and managing anger.

Delegates will explore:
- strategies to de-escalate aggression, from whatever source
- a model for understanding aggressive incidents to include: appraisal; anger; inhibition; aggression
- their own reactions to aggression
- the implications and application of the model in real contexts
